The text files are provided in Rich Text Format which can be read by nearly all standard word processing programs and even some basic text editors. These are provided as GIF files which can be printed on a color printer with almost any paint or image editing program. Some Game Kits include new maps and/or counters. Inside the zip file you will find game variants, errata, additional charts and player aides of all sorts.
Each game kit comes as a ZIP file which can be unzipped using either PKZIP or WINZIP (widely available everywhere). Deer Valley Game Kits are wargame supplements for some of the most popular games produced.
